Blogs

Firstly, I started writing a blog in the English III course. In my opinion, make a blog was an interesting activity. I learned many things about the grammar and I learn many different words when I had to write new posts. Sometimes, was very funny write some post like “tattoos” or “Jobs”, but was very boring write other like “how green are you?” or “Motivation to study psychology”. In this way, I think that is necessary try suggest new topics to write because the “typical” topics sometimes are too boring.
I think about blog that is a good way to practice writing, but I don’t use a blog on daily. For this, I think that blogs has no future in my life.
Moreover, I think that I must improve many aspects of my English, for example my lexicon and grammar. I have an important improve in this aspect but it isn’t enough. Also, I think that my weak point in English is speaking, because I need improve my pronunciation and my fluency. About this, I don´t have a concrete plan, but I think that the best solution is the practice, for example, speak in English with my friends or classmates.

Outside the English class, I don’t use very much English, because I’m in a Spanish context. But, sometimes, when I need a new article about classical conditioning or any scientific investigation I use my English because those investigations, those articles are written in English, and your translations can delay two or three years to be release

2013: Good and bad points

Well... when the end of the year approach, it is the best time in the year to think about what has been the best and the worst of this period. For me, this year has been a period for gradually adjusting in many areas. For this, I decided  call it "The Transition Year", because I had to adapt to a new reality. Past year, 2012, my father died and my life completely changed. First, my mother had to work because she didn't have money to pay the rent house. This was very difficult because she didn't has the motivation to work in this moment. Moreover, my brother and me had to adapt to new context and contribute to home and being emotionally supportive of her. In the academic area, I needed approve all my courses because I would lost my scholarship if I didn't pass my courses.
For this, in this year I had to adapt to new dynamics and new challenges. My life suffered a transition. Thankfully we adapted quickly to new context; my mother got a job in a counters values company and could reorganize her life. Moreover, my brother discovered a new hobby: the arts in the circus, and now he is a juggler, illusionist and acrobat. He love his new hobby and works in this, for example make different shows for birthdays or another events. About me, I achieved approve all first semester courses and I had has good qualifications for this semester. I think that this year has been a good period to value my family and my friends.

Tattoos

Well... in this time I'm going to talk about the tattoos. The history of tattoos dates back to the Stone Age. In the year 1991was found a Neolithic man; he had tattoos on his back and knees.
The most popular culture, about the tattoos, was Polynesian culture. The Polynesian men tattooed until completely cover skin and their tattoos are considered the most artistic tattoo in the old world. In fact, the word "tattoo" comes from Polynesian word "Ta" which means "hit" or, maybe, comes from Polynesian expression "Tau- Tau" used to speak about the two bones collision.
In the beginning, tattoos were used to identify subjects in a group, his achievements and his social status. Today, in the modern society, this situation has not changed. For example, in the nineteenth and twentieth century, tattoos were associated with criminals or convicts. The tattoo was used, in those centuries, as symbol of specific condition and status in the society. It's clear that the connotation of the tattoo's status has changed over time. Thus, in the beginning, tattoos represented high status in the old society, but in twentieth century tattoo was associated with a low social status and marginal population.

Currently, in many cases, tattoo is a requirement for membership in specific social group. But also represent personality characteristics of inked people. Thus, the inked people use tattoos which represent likes, significant events, hopes or cover some skin defect. For example, to the most tattooed woman in the world, the tattoos began as a bid to cover up her nasty skin condition.
